UNDERGATE CABLE ALUMINIUM 2.7MM

Description

🔌 Undergate Cable — Aluminium 2.7 mm for Electric Fencing

Undergate Aluminium Cable (2.7 mm) is a flexible, heavy‑duty fence cable designed specifically for running under gates or other moving parts of an electric fence system. It’s ideal where constant opening and closing could stress regular steel wire, ensuring good conductivity and durability at points of movement.

🔑 Key Features

• 2.7 mm Aluminium Conductor — Larger cross‑section provides lower electrical resistance and better transmission compared with thinner cables

• High Flexibility — Built to withstand repeated bending and movement under gates without breaking

• Insulated Jacket — Protects from moisture, abrasion, and shorting against gate edges

• UV & Weather‑Resistant — Rugged outdoor durability for long term use

• Low‑Stretch Design — Maintains conductivity and tension even with frequent movement

📌 Typical Uses

• Under‑Gate Connections: Reliable connection across swing or sliding gates

• Movable Fence Sections: For paddocks, rotational grazing, or temporary fencing

• High‑Load Fence Lines: Where better conductivity helps maintain fence performance

• Access Points: Keeps continuity of energised lines through frequent gate operation

⚡ Why Aluminium 2.7 mm?

• Better Conductivity: Lower resistance than smaller cables — helps deliver voltage farther with less loss

• Durable Under Movement: Unlike rigid steel wire, this cable bends easily with moving gates

• Cost‑Effective: Good balance of conductivity and flexibility for electric fencing

📍 Installation Tips

• Thread the cable under the gate in a relaxed curve instead of sharp bends

• Keep insulation protected where the cable passes under metal edges

• Use quality connectors or crimps to join to main fence wires

• Regularly inspect for wear at contact points or rough edges
